My Waffles Are Now Green and I Can Never Go Back!

I am trying to get veggies in at every meal (practice what you preach, right?)

But the other day, I really wanted one of my protein waffles. But waffles don't have veggies in it... or can they?


I decided to make the batter in my blender and add in two handfuls of spinach. TA-DA!!! Or should I say TA-DA-LICIOUS!!??!!!


It was so easy and the flavor is exactly the same but now my waffles are so much better! They are now a fun green color... PLUS they are now filled with all the good nutrients and fiber spinach provides.

Here’s the recipe:

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 scoops of protein powder (your choice but I’d go with a vanilla flavor or if unflavored then add 1 tsp of vanilla extract)

  • ¼ scoop of pancake mix 

  • 2 handfuls of spinach 

  • ⅛ - ¼ nut milk (eye it out, this is really to thin the batter so it’s not too clumpy)

Blend to smooth consistency, heat up and enjoy in pancake or waffle form!
